Cody Eakin is WHL's First 40 Goal Scorer
Cody Eakin and Adam Lowry score a pair of goals each to pace the Broncos to a 4-1 home ice win over the Tigers.
Eakin opened the scoring with less than 2 seconds left in the first period netting his 40th of the year to put the Broncos on the board first. In the second period, Zdenek Okal tied the game for the Tigers netting the period's lone goal. Swift Current turned the tide in the final period scoring three times, 2 coming from Adam Lowry including his first game winning goal. Eakin got credit for the 4th goal as Morgan Clark shut the door as Swift Current outshot Medicine Hat 25-24. The Broncos were 1-4 on the power-play while the Tigers went 0-4.
The Broncos move to 29-27-0-4 on the year. They head to Cranbrook to take on the Ice on Tuesday.
