Video Score Clock In Action For New Season27-Aug-12
Swift Current Broncos action will be played in high definition on the new video score clock for the 2012-13 season.
“Having the Broncos use the video component is another step in becoming a premier franchise in the Western Hockey League,” said Jerrod Schafer, Mayor of Swift Current. “The City is excited to help bring this experience to Broncos fans.”
The City of Swift Current has partnered with the Broncos for video use of the score clock at home games at the Credit Union iplex. The City purchased the video score clock for $450,000 in 2011.
“After four months of preparation and installation I am very excited to see the video board in full effect at our games,” said Dianne Sletten, Director of Business Operations and Assistant General Manager of the Broncos. “It will not only enhance our game night atmosphere, but I believe it will provide our fans with a much more interactive look into our game night production.”
The Broncos hired Wide Mouth Media to oversee the video component that will offer an enhanced experience for fans who attend home games. The four-camera setup will feature live production elements, including: instant replays, statistics and in-stand video.
“This system is going to allow fans to get right into the action. They will be able to watch the game like they have never been able to before,” said Matthew Rousseaux, Production Director of Wide Mouth Media. “We are proud to be the ones designing and operating this production system that will help push the Broncos as a premier franchise.”
