Two Bronco Prospects Invited to All-Canadians Mentorship Camp
6-Jun-12The National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) announced that Bronco prospects forward Glenn Gawdin and goaltender Travis Child have been invited to the second annual Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Camp, which will be held in Mississauga, ON from July 17 to 21 2012.
Gawdin was selected fifth overall by the Broncos at the recent 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6’1”, 170lbs. product of Richmond, BC led the Seafair Islanders (PCBHL) in scoring last season with 58 goals and 32 assists in 43 games played.
Child was taken 29th overall by the Broncos in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6', 168lbs. Killam, AB native posted a 7-8-4 record, .910 save percentage and 3.46 GAA last season with the Camrose Vikings (AMBHL).
Players attending the five-day Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Camp will receive important instruction both on and off the ice and in the classroom. Classroom sessions will cover a variety of foundational topics such as nutrition, strength and fitness, sports psychology, life skills and personal values.
The intensive five-day camp will conclude with the Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Cup – an inter-squad exhibition game – on Saturday, July 21 at 1PM ET which will be broadcast on TSN.
