He is a good sized right handed shot,” states Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter.  “He skates well, we really like his skill level and compete level and we think he will develop into an impact player for our organization.”

What were your thoughts on being selected fifth overall by the Broncos?

It was a great feeling.  I woke up extra early on the day of the draft to follow it and when I found out I was selected by the Broncos I was extremely pleased!

What NHL player do you pattern your style with?

I would say Joe Thornton.  He is a bigger guy, like myself, and I definitely try to compliment my style to his game.

Looking down the road what strengths do you think you will bring to the Broncos?

I would say my offensive talent.  I have good vision.

Who would you say is your hockey role model?

My Dad.  He got me into skating from a very early age.

Have you ever been to Swift Current or Saskatchewan before?

I have never been to Swift Current, but I actually went to Saskatoon last summer and that would be my first time in the province.

Fun fact:

I actually didn't eat wheat for two years because I thought I had an allergy to it.
