ROSTER: The Broncos roster currently consists of 24 players. The team has 3 – 20 year old players, 7 – 19 year old players, 4 – 18 year old players, 9 – 17 year old players and 1- 16 year old player.  Geographically, 13 Broncos are from Alberta, 7 are from Saskatchewan, 2 are from Manitoba, 1 is from the Czech Republic and 1 is from Finland. There are 9 rookies and 15 veterans on the roster.


MIDTERM RANKINGS:  Dillon Heatherington, Jay Merkley, Colby Cave and Eetu Laurikainen were listed on NHL Central Scouting’s Midterm Rankings.  Heatherington is currently ranked 44th amongst North American skaters.  Merkley made his debut on NHL Central Scouting’s lists sitting 111th, while Cave is not far behind at 140th.  Laurikainen is listed 20th amongst North American goalies.


HUSKY WHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH:  Bronco captain Adam Lowry was named Husky WHL Player of the Month for December.  He collected 21 points (13G,8A) in 11 games played, and also currently holds the longest goal scoring streak in the WHL at eight games (13G) and point streak at 16 games (15G,13A).


WORLD JUNIORS:  Finnish netminder, Eetu Laurikainen, represented Finland at the World Juniors, where they finished the highly-touted international tournament in 7th place.  In 32 games played with the Broncos this season he has posted a .916 save percentage, 2.55GAA and 13-15-2-2 record.


WORLD U-17 CHALLENGE:  Rookie defenceman Brycen Martin posted nine points (2G,7A) in five games played with Team Pacific.  Team Pacific wrapped up the tournament defeating Ontario 7-6 to place fifth in the standings.


DRAFTED BRONCOS:  The Broncos currently have five drafted players on the roster:

Graham Black - 5th round (135th overall) - New Jersey Devils - 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Coda Gordon - 6th round (165th overall) - Calgary Flames - 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Adam Lowry - 3rd round (67th overall) - Winnipeg Jets - 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Reece Scarlett - 6th round (159th overall) - New Jersey Devils - 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
