Broncos Take Big Win Over Warriors On Retro Jersey Night

Nov 12, 2011 - 22:13 GMT

The Swift Current Broncos took a big 3-2 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors on the Eagle 94.1 Retro Jersey Night.  The evening kicked off with the unveiling of their special 1970s inspired jerseys along with the appearance of a very special guest, the legendary Tiger Williams!

From that point on the Broncos were buzzing as Graham Black opened the scoring less than 30 seconds into play notching his fifth of the season and giving the Broncos a crucial early lead.  The opening frame would remain scoreless from that point on as Swift Current would carry their lead into the second period.

The Broncos would start the middle frame on the man advantage where Trevor Cameron would capitalize and up Swift Current's lead to two.  Just over ten minutes later, Shea Howorko would follow suit for the Broncos upping his goal streak to two and making it a 3-0 contest.  Following Howorko's goal Quinton Howden would round up consecutive singles in the remainder of play to make it a 3-2 final.

The Broncos outshot the Warriors 37-30 and went 1 for 6 on the power play.
