Broncos Struggle to 'Canes; Edged 4-1
27-Oct-12The Swift Current Broncos split their two-game Central Division road trip as they fell 4-1 to the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre Saturday night.
'Canes captain Graham Hood would open the scoring on the man advantage near the 15-minute mark of the first to give Lethbridge the lead.
But, Broncos captain Adam Lowry would retaliate around the midway mark of the second period tallying a shorthanded marker to tie the game up at one. Minutes later, Hurricanes' Craig Leverton would restore their one goal lead followed by a quick set of back-to-back 'Canes goals from Brady Ramsay and Leverton again to wrap up the scoring in the second and make it 4-1 Lethbridge after two periods.
Netminder Landon Bow would take over in net to start the third period. Neither team would see many scoring opportunities in the final frame with the 'Canes taking the edge in third period shots at 13-7 and resulting in a 4-1 final.
The Broncos would be outshot 50-23 and go 0 for 4 on the man advantage.
UP NEXT: The Swift Current Broncos travel to Prince Albert,SK to take on the Raiders on Tuesday, October 30th. Then, they return to the iPlex to play host to the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, November 2nd.

Ryon Moser played his 200th WHL career game.
The contest saw six fights:
Adam Lowry (6'5", 201lbs.) and Remi Laurencelle (5'9", 182lbs.) dropped the mitts late in the first period.
Brent Benson (5'11", 192lbs.) and Brady Ramsay (5'11", 175lbs.) took to a tilt around the 15-minute mark of the second frame.
Dillon Heatherington (6'4", 196lbs.) and Graham Hood (6'3", 221lbs.) scrapped following shortly after the Benson fight.
Dalton Reum (6'3", 193lbs.) and Craig Leverton (5'10", 188lbs.) dropped the mitts in the third period.
Josh Derko (6'2", 196lbs.) demolished Jaimen Yakubowski (5'10", 202lbs.) in the dying minutes of play.
Daniel Dale (6'1", 221lbs.) and Spencer Galbraith (5'10", 180lbs.) wrapped up the fighting with under two minutes to go in regulation.
