Broncos Edge Pats

7-Oct-12

The Swift Current Broncos edged the visiting Regina Pats 2-1 in front of a crowd of 2,294 Saturday night.

Chance Lund would tally the lone goal of the first period roughly 15 minutes into play on his second of the season to give the Broncos the lead.

Under two minutes into the second period, Ryon Moser would up the Bronco lead to two following through off of a feed from Dillon Heatherington.  But, Pats' Trent Ouellette would respond minutes later to put the contest within one.

Play would remain scoreless from that point on.  In the third frame the Broncos would be outshot 12-3, but both netminders would deny all scoring chances as the Broncos held on for a 2-1 final.

The Broncos were outshot 26-25 and went 0 for 2 on the man advantage.
