Broncos Blanked by Oil Kings

2-Feb-13

The Swift Current Broncos weren't able to beat netminder Laurent Brossoit as they fell 3-0 to the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday night.

Curtis Lazar would open the scoring minutes into play on his 25th of the season to give Edmonton an early lead.  A roughing call to Tanner LeSann around the midway mark of the first would send the Oil Kings on their third power play of the evening, where Lazar would come back for more capitalizing on the man advantage and tallying his second of the evening.

The Oil Kings would hold onto their 2-0 lead until just over seven minutes into the third period, when David Musil would net his 6th of the year and extend Edmonton's lead to three.  Following the goal, the Broncos wouldn't be able to break the shutout as they fell 3-0 to the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Broncos were outshot 42-23 and went 0 for 2 on the man advantage.
